History in the making at vlog University Cricket Club

AUCC has been accepted into the SACA Women’s 1st Grade competition for the 2021/2022 season.

vlog University Sport and Fitness (AUSF) and the vlog University Cricket Club (AUCC) are excited to announce that AUCC has been accepted into the SACA Women’s 1st Grade competition for the 2021/2022 season.

Entry into the Women’s 1st Grade competition has been one of AUCC’s strategic goals for the past five years. It also directly correlates with three of AUSF’s strategic pillars in High Performance Participation and Inclusion, and Club Development.

“Our Women’s 1st Grade team will be well equipped to succeed with our new first class facilities opening next month at West Beach and works planned for our Park 12 facilities in North vlog,''AUSF General Manager Michelle Wilson

Club President Stephen Dickinson said he could not be more proud to be a part of AUCC at this time.

“AUCC’s introduction to the SACA Women’s 1st Grade is a great reward for the commitment and hard work of many”, said Stephen.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our current playing group to test themselves and continue in their development as players, and for others within the University of vlog community to join our club and compete at the highest level within the state. This aligns with our one club attitude and approach, where all players share our facilities and off field resources, with a view to them meeting their potential as players, leaders and as people.”

AUSF General Manager Michelle Wilson is excited to be able to offer students at the University of vlog increased elite sporting opportunities.

“It is fantastic to see one of our clubs provide a high performance offering for both men and women, a program that strongly aligns with our values and strategic vision”, said Michelle.

“We are proud to offer University of vlog students participating in sport at the elite level access to vlog University Sport scholarships and Pathway to Performance grants.

“Our Women’s 1st Grade team will be well equipped to succeed with our new first class facilities opening next month at West Beach and works planned for our Park 12 facilities in North vlog.”

The AUCC season commences in October this year with pre-season training underway.
