On International Nurses Day on Thursday 12 May 2022  (Florence Nightingale’s birthday) the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Nursing School launched the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Nursing School Alumni Network (ANSAN).

More than 100 nursing alumni, staff, and industry guests registered to attend the launch event, enjoying drinks and canapés in the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Health and Medical Sciences building.

The event was officially opened by Professor Andrew Zannettino Pro Vice-Chancellor (Health Partnerships) with Associate Professor Frank Donnelly Dean and Head of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Nursing School and President of ANSAN, the MC for the evening.

Guests were treated to presentations from Associate Professor Lesley Long AM, who spoke about the transformation of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Nursing School from its early beginnings and Professor Lesley Dwyer, who spoke about future careers nursing in changing healthcare systems.

The launch was a great opportunity to meet and mingle with ANSAN Committee members and hear about their plans to support the nursing alumni community. We hope to make these networking events a regular addition to the calendar. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Graduates of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Nursing School automatically become members of the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Nursing Alumni Network, if you would like to become involved or know more about the Network, please email Linda Kinsella.
