Biography/ Background
Lucy is an Associate Professor in Veterinary Pathology. Following graduation from Murdoch University, Lucy spent two years working in a mixed clinical veterinary practice in the Mid North of South Australia. In 2005 she returned to Western Australia to pursue interests in conservation and health of Australian wildlife, undertaking a PhD examining the pathological, aetiological and epidemiological aspects of a debilitating viral-associated skin cancer in the endangered Western barred bandicoot (Perameles bougainville). Following the PhD, Lucy left the sunny shores of Western Australia to undertake a residency in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology at the Royal Veterinary College, London, and the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket, England. This residency, funded by The Horse Trust, enabled a focus on the health and disease of horses. In September 2010, Lucy completed the certifying examinations of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. She joined the University of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø’s School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences in November 2010.
