The University of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø, along with Wirltu Yarlu and ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø University Sport and Fitness, is proud to announce its participation in the prestigious 29th Indigenous Nationals, taking place from June 23 to June 27 at the University of Western Australia in Perth. This eagerly awaited event will bring together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university athletes from across Australia, who will compete in a range of sports including touch football, basketball, netball, and volleyball.

First Nations Student

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Access Pathway provides an alternative entry pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are inspired to achieve success through tertiary education at the University of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø. Coordinated by Wirltu Yarlu, this initiative is an alternative method for First Nations students to access university education. Prospective students are required to sit for an interview.

Wirltu Yarlu is adopting WillowSoft, an adaptable and flexible student engagement software designed to support the experience and success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at The University of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.

Fourteen First Nations students will graduate from the University of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø this semester, and their accomplishments were celebrated at a special event hosted by Wirltu Yarlu, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Unit at the University.

Unveiling the Mankurriapinthi Strategic Plan 2024-2025 – Future Making for First Nations

Launch of Future Making for First Nations

Mankurriapinthi, Bring together in Kaurna language, is the name of the new Future Making for First Nations Strategy of the University of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø. Led by Professor Steve Larkin, Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Engagement and supported by Wirltu Yarlu, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander unit of the University of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø, the new strategy is an evidence-based approach document that provides the opportunity for the whole University community to critically reflect upon its role and responsibility in ensuring First Nations access, participation, and success.
