(ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø School of Business) recently received a scholarship as part of the highly competitive Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society (MOBTS) Early Educator Institute (EEI) award.

Through this scholarship, Dr Agarwal was able to attend an immersive teaching excellence program at Purdue University, Fort Wayne, Indiana, in June. As well as supporting his participation at the 52nd MOBTS conference, the generous scholarship also included membership to MOBTS.org with access to top-tier journals.

The Early Educator Institute scholarship and pre-conference workshops are tailored for early career academics and enable the enhancement of their teaching practices and the development of their pedagogical identities.

‘Through this program, I was able to explore diverse pedagogical methods which align with my teaching approach’, explains Dr Agarwal. ‘By better understanding my students’ unique learning needs, I can cultivate my pedagogical identity’.

The conference was an opportunity to network with fellow educators who are equally committed to improving their teaching practices. Dr Agarwal has now started working with academics from the US and the University of Queensland on papers about teaching and learning practices and policies.

‘It was a transformative journey, and I brought back valuable insights to enrich my classroom experiences’, says Dr Agarwal. ‘I believe opportunities like this contribute to our collective efforts in elevating teaching and learning at the university’.
